You can depict the current situation of your breeding (species, birds, relations), configure it in order to operate based on your experience and the specializations of every species that you breed and after that is undertakes your guidance on a daily basis for the actions you need to do.

That way you escape from the annoyance of your routine and focus entirely on your hobby. The regular information recorded inside BIRDin amasses the knowledge and your experience inside a system. The information is yours and concerns only you.

The BIRDin system can be your assistant inside your aviary.

It provides you the possibility of having all the information for your breeding process inside a system. Put an end on all the notes, the papers and the different files on the computer! 

BIRD in gives you the possibility of recording the current structure of your breeding. Namely you can register all the species, the birds per species and the relations in-between them.

Furthermore you insert information relatively to the genetics (phenotype, genotype), the cage where they are held at this moment, their origin, etc. This registration makes up the initial picture of your breeding in the BIRDin system. 

It provides you with the possibility of configuring the species based on your experience and practice.

If you breed Gouldian Finch you can use the embedded genetics algorithm.

From this point all the birds that are a result of the reproduction procedure are created automatically! With the pressing of a button! That simple! 

For those birds, BIRDin knows from which pair and from which birth it is originated. It knows its biological parents independently from being raised with foster parents! You can see its genealogical tree up to 5 generations back! You can see all its relatives that are connected with blood relations! 

Insert a photograph for every bird so as for you to know exactly to what you are referring.

Create the pairs for each species by selecting them among the available birds of your aviary! 

Pick correctly the birds that you are going to use. BIRDin controls for you and informs you about the age of the birds and every possible relation that they may have between them.

The final choice is yours based on the goals that you want to achieve. 

If you breed Gouldian Finch the system informs for the possible color combinations of the offspring!

You have all the information gathered on the Pair’s Card!

Finally the births have started. You only have to register the births on the corresponding pairs. Insert the number of the eggs and the start date of the incubation. From this point the system guides you to the time when you have to do some actions.

It informs you to when you should candling the eggs on every nest, when you should wait for the hatching, when you should put rings and later when you should transfer the young birds in another cage.

It provides you with the possibility of evaluating the behavior of every pair. And the next time it informs you on time if you need to notice something.

You don’t need to keep notes. As we said, everything is gathered inside the system. Your daily assistant.

Should you maybe have the eggs in foster parents? No problem. The system will watch the evolution of the birth on the foster parents pair but in parallel will know who the biological parents of the chicks are!!!

The eggs have hatched and everything worked out as a blessing! Inside the Clutch Card with the press of a button you create the offspring!!!

As the birds are growing up you, inside the same environment, fill in information such as the ring that you put, the gender, the genotype and the phenotype.

Many times we need to interfere when we establish that the health of the bird doesn’t evolve smoothly.

BIRDin offers you a flexible environment to create treatments which can adopt to the birds according to your Vet. With passing of time BIRDIn will include all of your experience regarding the health issues.

BIRDin provides you with a new function with which you can watch the revenue and the expenses that you realize in the terms of your breeding. 

You are provided with the possibility of making groups of both revenue and expenses in Categories and Subcategories. On the subcategories despite those being offered by BIRDin you can insert your own too so as to watch the involving amounts in the way that you desire!

A series of informative reports and statistics dives you the knowledge of how the expenses and revenue are evolving with the passing of time. That way you can create your own assumptions to improve the cost of the breeding process. 

BIRDin provides you with the possibility, with a systematic way, to improve the quality of the birds that you breed. From now on you can evaluate the birds according to the characteristics of every race (show standards).

The evaluation is realized in two ways:

a) with the evaluation that is done by the same breeder ( Breeder’s Evaluation)
b) with the points that every bird get form an exhibition ( Exhibition’s Points)

The breeder, via the configuration process, can create for every bird species a Score Card either by inserting characteristics based on his own experience or by copying a Score Sheet as those used by the judges on the exhibitions.

The systematic evaluation and the comparison with the judges’ points improves the breeder’s judgment on the characteristics of every race while he is provided with the possibility of removing from the breeding ground birds with low grades. 

BIRDin provides you with the possibility of programming and watching all the actions that are required before and after a Bird Show so as your participation has the best results possible.

Some of the possibilities are:

a) Creating the show in the system
As a Bird Show is announced you can register it inside BIRDin.

b) Plan the actions before and after the show on time. 
This is done by creating an Task Plan. The Task Plan includes all those actions that you consider necessary to be executed, before and after each show and the time need so as for them to be done. The actions are defined by the configuration process.

c) Select on time the birds that you will bring to the show.
You can handle the birds that belong in the same species the same way ( e.g. canaries, native, exotic, etc) by creating Bird Groups. On each group you can connect an Task Plan and plan the actions based on the real dates of every show. Plus, all the actions are shown on the Information Center and will be available soon. 

d) Insert all the information required on your participation in an exhibition.
Insert the Show Category and the Show Class of every bird that you will put on display. Print a list with the birds and all the required information so as the caging procedure can be quick.

e) Evaluate the birds before the exhibition.
You can evaluate all the birds that you have chosen one by one. You can exclude from the participation birds with low grades.

f) Insert the grades of the judges and compare the results.
The most important prize for every bird is shown on the Bird Card > Basic Data.

Note 
Soon the grades and the awards will be shown on all the basic functions of BIRDin both on a total level and on a level of separate characteristics. E.g. on the genealogical tree one can see, from generation to generation, the evolution of the total points. 

In contrast to other bird record systems, BIRDin is a breeding management system.

What does that mean?

It means, in simple words, that it adjusts to the experience of a breeder, warns him on time about important issues and plans for him the actions that need to be done.

Gradually it includes not only the knowledge and the experience of the breeder but also the hidden knowledge that arises from all the information that he maintains on a daily basis! And this hidden knowledge, unfortunately, is very hard to be immediately available from the script notes and blocks!
